How the Safe Sizer Works: The Safe Sizer is a 1/2 inch diameter raised ring that provides a visual reminder and measurement gauge for parents and caregivers. The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the US Food and Drug Administrations (USFDA) recommend that children younger than 4 years old not be fed any round, firm food unless it is cut into small pieces no later than 1/2 inch in any direction. They are BPA free and exceed the new, tougher US government standards for phthlates and lead.
